CitNOW has announced the shortlisted entries that will compete to win at the 2019 Video Awards ceremony in January.
- CitNOW shortlists the best automotive video presenters for prestigious annual awards
- Shortlist of 40 nominees will compete across four categories at CitNOW Video Awards 2019
- CitNOW-hosted award sees a record 1,676 video submissions
- Winners to be announced on 14th January 2020
In its fifth year, the CitNOW Video Awards received a record 1,676 nominations as the app-based communications platform continues to see outstanding uptake in the UK and international markets.
The shortlist of 40 nominees will compete across four categories – Workshop, Sales, International and Most Creative – as well as the prestigious Best Overall CitNOW award.
Franchised dealer showrooms and workshop and independent outlets from across the UK and overseas submitted entries to earn their place as the best in automotive video communication.
Several retailers demonstrated an impressive level of quality across their sites to earn multiple nominations. Lookers and Arnold Clark will be competing for the most honours, with an impressive four nominations apiece across the Best Sales, Best Workshop and Most Creative use of CitNOW categories.
Individual sites even earned several category shortlistings, as Think Ford Basingstoke earned two Best Sales CitNOW nominations, while Lookers Nissan Gateshead has two places in the Best Workshop CitNOW shortlist.
The shortlist for the ‘Most Creative Use of CitNOW Video’ showcases the true flexibility of personalised video with shortlisted videos ranging from an alloy wheel guessing game to a pet accessory demonstration with the help of man’s best friend.
CitNOW’s continued expansion internationally is reflected in the Best International CitNOW category, with shortlisted entries from Germany, Portugal, Finland and as far flung as the United States and Australia.
Alistair Horsburgh, CEO at CitNOW commented:
“It’s been a landmark year for personalised video, and that’s been reflected in the number and the quality of videos entries we’ve received.
Every year we are taken aback by how innovative, creative and polished the video entries can be as dealerships and workshops truly embrace what personalised video can bring to the customer journey, and this year has been no exception, with some outstanding examples of ingenuity and best practice.”

Automotive video has further cemented its place in the industry in 2019, reaching one million videos recorded in a single month for the first time in March, and 2020 is expected to be another record year for video.
A judging panel of automotive experts – to be revealed over the coming weeks – will review the shortlist to select the category and overall winners, which will be announced on 14th January at the exclusive awards ceremony.
