With new EU data regulations coming into force on 25th May, we want to let you know how we’re tackling the new legislation – General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR.
The biggest shake-up in data protection regulation in decades, we’ve been working hard with our own IT experts and external suppliers to ensure our protection is at the highest level possible.
Because we take your data and your customer’s data seriously, we have appointed both a Data Protection Officer and a multi-disciplinary GDPR Working Committee. This committee will provide essential checks and balances as well as tweaking our processes whenever it’s required. Prior to the arrival of GDPR, we worked within the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 regulations meaning we have built on solid foundations.
We are committed to high standards of information security, privacy and transparency. For many years, our robust Information Security Management System (ISMS) has managed data in accordance with the highest recognised standards including the Information Governance (IG) Toolkit; whilst also incorporating industry best practices like BS 10012 Data Protection.
